Digital Product Passport for Lighting
Ecodesign rules for lighting are among the most mature in the EU. Lighting products already meet detailed ecodesign requirements under Regulation 2019/2020 and carry energy labels. No ESPR delegated act has been adopted for lighting, so a passport is voluntary today and mostly a way to publish product data you already generate for EPREL.

Framework regulation. It may extend passport requirements to lighting through an Art. 4 delegated act, but none has been adopted and no date has been fixed.

Restriction of Hazardous Substances

Restricts mercury, lead, and other hazardous substances in lighting products. Mercury exemptions for certain lamp types are being phased out.
